I think all cars should be electric because they are more fuel efficient and would be better for the world

ReplyDeleteYes,all cars should be electric because gas cars are not good for the earth. The gas that comes out of the car is bad for the environment.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure there are any "local energy Initiatives". Energy has traditionally been served on a large scale. Local initiatives are a new idea that are just starting.
ReplyDelete3. yes all cars should be electric, it would save people more money in the long run. They are a lot more effiecent than normal cars and eat up less gas. they also cost a lot less to mantain.
ReplyDeleteI believe we should use nuclear power in Maine. Wind solar, hydro, and geothermal are costly and have many drawbacks. Nuclear makes a lot of cheap power, and nuclear power really isn't that dangerous. France has always used nuclear, and they have had no issues with it. Nuclear is the most efficient.
ReplyDeleteIn question 3, I think that not all cars should be electric because it is not as efficient as gasoline, and you still need to burn something to make electricity, so your still polluting with less efficiency.

ReplyDeleteI think that if cars would be made so their carbon footprint was smaller, it would be OK. Electric cars are a smart idea, but should not be the only source.

ReplyDelete2. we could use solar wind an hydropower in maine simply by putting up some windmills, solar panels and some dams and would be 10x more effiecent than what we have now

ReplyDeleteIt only makes sense for all cars to go to electric if the sources of electricity are clean and renewable. While yes, we would cut down on pollutants by just having clean car exhaust, imagine how much better it would be for the environment if the sources of electricity that power the cars was clean too.

ReplyDeleteElectric Cars are a good idea, but take a very long time to charge. If batteries are developed that can charge in- say 10 minutes, then they would make sense. However, If batteries that last a long time are developed, that would work good also.
